Bitting Magic

lengthened stride, softer neck and happy face :-)

Bit Fitting is Magic.

Following a head and mouth examination of the lovely Barney it was clear that he was not a fan of poll pressure (he went backwards) or of pressure in the commissures of his lips (he chomped, chewed and turned to the right). Assessing the ridden partnership it was apparent that Emma, his rider, liked a firm and clear contact. He came with a bit that fitted, but his scowly face, tight neck and shortened stride told us he did not like it.

We tried a bit which distributes a kind and even pressure over the tongue and Barney told us he loved it. When we twinned this bit with a Keswick Comfort Bridle, Barney did a wonderful Valegro impersonation. He lengthened his stride (see him tracking up) softened his neck and give us his happy-face.

The magic that is bit fitting never ceases to amaze me.

If you want to have a play with a range of wonderful bits and to listen to what your horse says about each one, drop me an e mail; I'd love to see you and I have 100s of bits in stock from NEUE SCHULE FAGER BERIS ACAVALLO and HAPPY MOUTH.

Come and experience the magic...
