Bit and Bridle Fitting
Anatomy lead bit and bridle fitting for maximum comfort and performance.

Being an independent LANTA qualified bit and bridle fitter helps me to advise, inform and assist riders with a level of depth and knowledge greater than has traditionally been available. In addition I have a passion for the topic, 30+ years of horsey experience and van full of bits together with beautiful bridles I designed myself and which are handmade in Keswick using British component parts... How can you resist?!

Book a session and I promise you - as a rider and horse owner you will, at the very least, enjoy a bit and bridle fitting session 😁

Keswick Comfort Bridle on Joey showing how much room he has around his ears, how soft and light the browband is, how low the buckles are on his masseter muscles (instead of on his TMJ), how beautifully made they are and how beautiful Joey is.

This video explains why we do NOT use padding on our bridles. Us humans think we are being kind to our horses by buying them a padded bridle, but padding is bulky, adds weight, is often lumpy and puts pressure on the areas where we are trying to avoid pressure being applied.

A bridle that fits beautifully does not need padding.
